The Youth of Today Will Be Respected Tomorrow!

Jul 18, 2024

The disrespect of the Ummah has become so serious that our heart hurt. Today, this very day start to lay the bricks of the youths in accordance to Islam. We prioritise academe over character or democracy over Islam. We shoot our own foot, and yet we do not see the big problem. We urge businessmen/women to invest in youth character development programmes to prepare them today for tomorrow's chaos.

In an era marked by chaos and uncertainty, it is imperative to prepare the youth of today to be the leaders of tomorrow. To bring order back to our society, we must focus on instilling a set of comprehensive skills and values in our young people. This program outlines ten crucial areas that, when developed, will empower our youth and equip them with the tools needed to create a harmonious and thriving
society In Sha Allah.

  1. Swimming
Swimming is not only a life-saving skill but also a comprehensive workout that promotes physical fitness, endurance, and discipline. It teaches children the importance of perseverance and the ability to stay calm and composed in challenging situations. From an Islamic perspective, the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) encouraged swimming, highlighting its importance in maintaining a healthy body and mind.

  2. Grappling
Grappling, including wrestling and jiu-jitsu, builds strength, agility, and self-defense skills. It instills resilience, patience, and strategic thinking. These martial arts teach respect for others, control over one's emotions, and the value of hard work. They also foster a sense of community and camaraderie among practitioners.

  3. Gymnastics
Gymnastics enhances flexibility, coordination, and balance. It encourages precision and dedication, as mastering even the simplest routines requires consistent practice and effort. Gymnastics helps develop a strong work ethic and an appreciation for the process of incremental improvement.

  4. Archery
Archery teaches focus, patience, and hand-eye coordination. It requires calmness and concentration, helping individuals to develop a meditative state of mind. Historically, archery has been an important skill in many cultures, including Islamic tradition, where it was highly valued for both its practical and spiritual benefits.

  5. Horse Riding
Horse riding builds physical strength and balance, but it also fosters a deep connection with animals and nature. It teaches responsibility, as caring for a horse requires dedication and commitment. Riding also instills confidence and a sense of freedom, helping young people to overcome fears and build self-esteem.

  6. Excellent Communication Skills
Effective communication, both verbal and written, is essential for success in any field. Developing these skills enables youth to articulate their thoughts clearly, listen actively, and engage in meaningful dialogue. Good communication fosters strong relationships and helps resolve conflicts peacefully. It is also crucial for leadership and advocacy, empowering young people to influence positive change in their communities.

  7. Specialist Project
Engaging in community projects helps youth to develop a sense of purpose and social responsibility. When these projects are rooted in Islamic values, they promote ethical conduct, compassion, and a commitment to justice. Such initiatives can include helping the needy, environmental conservation, and educational outreach. These projects not only benefit the community but also help young people to grow spiritually and morally. One day they can lead their own project that think globally.

  8. Joining Circles of Like-Minded Individuals
Surrounding oneself with individuals who share similar values and goals is crucial for personal growth. Joining circles such as book clubs, study groups, or hobby clubs with good moral character encourages positive peer influence, intellectual development, and a sense of belonging. These groups provide support, motivation, and opportunities for collaborative learning and growth.

  9. Travel
Travel broadens the mind, exposing youth to different cultures, perspectives, and ways of life. It fosters adaptability, curiosity, and a global mindset. Travel experiences can teach invaluable lessons about empathy, respect for diversity, and the interconnections of humanity. Encouraging youth to explore the world helps them to become more open-minded and resilient individuals. Every travel has its own unique experience, this experience can be used to connect cultures as one body in terms of identity. Check out the 99e Retreat to Bosnia.

  10. Excellence in Character
Every Muslim youth must learn about the character of our beloved role model, Mohammed ﷺ. Character education is the cornerstone of the 99e mission. Teaching values such as honesty, integrity, empathy, and respect helps to build a strong moral foundation. Encouraging youth to reflect on their actions and make ethical choices fosters personal responsibility and leadership qualities. Developing a strong character equips young people to navigate life's challenges with grace and wisdom. When this is implemented, we will see future leaders that will be respected and honored, they will not have to beg for a ceasefire from scumbags, their demands will benefit the Ummah and humanities in general regardless of their religion and ethnicity.

By focusing on these ten areas, we can prepare our youth to bring order and harmony back to society. Each skill and value contributes to the holistic development of individuals who are physically fit, mentally resilient, morally grounded, and socially responsible. Empowering our youth with these tools will enable them to become leaders who can inspire positive change and create a brighter future for all. Every youth is different in terms of personality and what they bring to the table will be diverse.
